Doctors Make Mistakes. A New Documentary Explores What Happens When They Do—and How to Fix It

Doctors Make Mistakes. A New Documentary Explores What Happens When They Do—and How to Fix It

People accept it as fact: that to err is human. Every misstep is an opportunity to learn and improve.
But when the mistakes are made by doctors, lives can be compromised, or even lost. Among malpractice claims, about 30% are due to diagnostic errors, according to a report by Coverys, a malpractice services provider. In the U.S. in 2017, surgeons either operated on the wrong patient, the wrong site or performed the wrong procedure 95 times, according to the Joint Commission, which accredits and certifies many healthcare systems in the country.

The Truth Shall Set You Free: FDA Reveals Secret Human Experimentation at Northwestern University

URGENT CALL TO ACTION:
  1. The purpose of this report is to make public the willful negligence actions of Dr. McCarthy of Northwestern University who implanted heart valves that did not have FDA approval, and did so, without receiving consent from his patients in a clinical trial which was published without the University Human Subject protections approval.
  2. A recent FDA freedom of information act validates the facts outlined above, which was not available until December 18, 2018. The evidence was provided to Northwestern University with no response from the VP for research.

Whoa: Israeli scientists say they’ve found a ‘complete cure for cancer,’ expect it ready in a year

The Israeli company in question is called Accelerated Evolution Biotechnologies Ltd., and it’s led by an Israeli scientist named Dan Aridor. Not only does Aridor say his treatment will cure all cancer, he says it will be quick, inexpensive and with little to nothing in the way of side-effects.
Sound too good to be true? Of course it does, but so do most things we thought were unimaginable until they were right in front of us.

WHY I AM OPPOSED TO ASSISTED SUICIDE AND EUTHANASIA Thirteen diverse perspectives

WHY I AM OPPOSED TO ASSISTED SUICIDE AND EUTHANASIA

Articulate and persuasive arguments against legalising assisted suicide and euthanasia have been expressed by a broad range of individuals and organisations from diverse perspectives, professional backgrounds, political views and life experiences.
From these thirteen diverse perspectives there emerges a common view that legalising assisted suicide or euthanasia can never be done safely.

Pharmaceutical Marketing Increased the Deaths From Opioid Overdoses in Past 5 Years

Pharmaceutical Marketing Increased the Deaths From Opioid Overdoses in Past 5 Years

The last few years have not been easy for the health authorities of the United States. Since some media began to reveal the disturbing figures of addiction to some opiates, the alarms went off. Being one of the most powerful analgesics to treat pain, these medications have been added to the list of the main addictions. A figure summarizes the problem: more than 42 thousand people died in 2016 due to excessive consumption in past 5 years of time. The reasons why the intake of these substances skyrocketed are multiple. In the difficult equation that should be analyzed to understand that epidemic, many factors come into play. One of them has just been evaluated in an article published in the JAMA Network Open: the gifts that doctors often offer some pharmaceutical houses.

Today is the 21 Month Anniversary of the Medical Murder of my Husband William Knightly Jr. at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH

Today is the 21 month anniversary of the Medical Murder of my beloved husband. A senseless medical murder that stole the life of a man loved by so many, written off after refusing the removal of a healthy kidney. A healthy kidney, diagnosed cancerous by a a quack so-called Doctor, whom a colleague later admitted was not cancer. Why???? Was there some big plan for that healthy kidney? Was that kidney worth more than the life of my husband? Did my husbands refusal piss off the quack Doctor that much that it warranted NON-consensual, ILLEGAL Hospice/Palliative care forced onto my UN-knowing husband and our family? Did it warrant the denial of ANY and ALL treatment that could have saved my husband's life? Why was that healthy kidney so important that my husband was instead just left to die? Was there something sinister going on? Was a big payoff in store for my husband's healthy kidney? Why else would he be treated like shit after refusing to let the quack remove his kidney? Why would anyone let someone remove a kidney after being told, "We don't even know if you have kidney cancer. We won't know until it's removed." Give me a break. Who in their right mind would agree to the removal of a kidney without POSITIVE proof of cancer?
They say each day get's easier after the death of a loved one. Well whoever came up with that one is full of shit. Every day is worse than the day before. Every day just get's harder and harder and when your loved one has been MURDERED and no-one is held accountable it only makes life worse.
These MURDERERS need to be prosecuted, but I'm beginning to think Medical UN-professionals are  above the law. Murder  is SUPPOSED to be a crime. For the ordinary person it is, but NOT for Medical UN-professionals. So what gives????? Why are they treated special? Why are THEY getting away with MURDER???

Extremely Pissed off Wife of Bill Knightly, MURDERED by NON-consensual Illegal Hospice/Palliative care at ST. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH.
I Love you My Knight. I always will. Life really sucks without you!

Alternative antibiotics do not reduce UTI-related hospitalizations, deaths in older adults

Alternative antibiotics do not reduce UTI-related hospitalizations, deaths in older adults

Alternative antibiotics to nitrofurantoin for treating suspected urinary tract infection in older patients were associated with lower odds of treatment failure but did not reduce the risk for UTI-related hospitalization or death, according to research published in Open Forum Infectious Diseases.
“UTI is the most common indication for antibiotic prescribing in older adults presenting to ambulatory care services and those in long-term care facilities,” researchers in the United Kingdom wrote. “Around 60% to 75% of adults presenting with suspected UTI receive empirical antibiotic therapy at the same consultation, without knowledge of microbiological susceptibilities.”

Ohio suspends medical license of doctor accused in Mount Carmel painkiller cases

Mount Carmel has said at least 34 near-death patients received excessive amounts of pain medication, ordered by William Husel
The State Medical Board of Ohio voted on Friday to suspend the license of a former Mount Carmel Health System doctor accused of repeatedly ordering patients potentially fatal dosages of painkillers.
The board has determined that there is clear and convincing evidence that Dr. William Husel violated state law and that allowing him to continue practicing would present a danger of immediate and serious harm to the public, according to a notice sent to the doctor regarding the suspension.

Doctors speak against ‘assisted suicide’ bill

SANTA FE — A group of doctors and other health care professionals gathered inside the Capitol on Tuesday to speak out against legislation that would allow terminally ill patients in New Mexico to seek a doctor’s help to end their lives.
They said “assisted suicide” could lead to elderly or incapacitated patients feeling pressure to end their lives for financial reasons. Caretakers might take advantage of them as they seek an inheritance, opponents said.
“It’s the perfect crime,” Rep. Gregg Schmedes, R-Tijeras, said, “and it’s an unnecessary bill that will incentivize people to die early."

Is there a difference between palliative sedation and euthanasia?

Is there a difference between palliative sedation and euthanasia?
One common argument in favour of legalising euthanasia is that several accepted medical practices already involve hastening the death of patients. Some ethicists claim, for example, that we are already hastening patients’ deaths in palliative care contexts through the administration of toxic levels of opioids and sedatives to patients. In palliative sedation -- a relatively common procedure in end of life scenarios -- doctors administer strong doses of drugs such as midazolam to sedate a patient. Ostensibly this is done to relieve refractory symptoms, yet some suggest that doctors are fully aware that the drugs may bring about a quicker death. In light of this, some ethicists argue that we need not be so concerned about hastening death through euthanasia -- this is a mere extension of the already existing practices in palliative care.

The old days of medicine are gone

The old days of medicine are gone

In the last decade, specifically in the last five to six years, we have seen the gradual disempowerment of America’s physicians as well as their unfortunate patients.
Starting with health management organizations, managed care, all the way to the insurance exchange, doctoring has been forcefully wrestled away from physicians only to be placed into the hands of large insurers, administrators and the United States government.
The common denominator was never about improving the quality of care for the American people but rather an obscene money-grabbing agenda by the above powers that be and the pharmaceutical industry.

Why the Royal College of Physicians will go ‘neutral’ on assisted suicide and why that matters

Why the Royal College of Physicians will go ‘neutral’ on assisted suicide and why that matters

Undemocratic efforts to neutralise doctors' moral responsibility.

The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) is going to poll its 35,000 members to ask whether "they would help a terminally ill patient to die and whether the law should be changed to allow assisted dying."
Why, despite the RCP polling all its members just a few years ago with the same question, has it decided it needs to poll members again? Could it possibly be part of a deliberate attempt to go officially "neutral" on "assisted dying" and from there, to support it?

Delaware bill defines assisted suicide as a palliative care option

Delaware bill defines assisted suicide as a palliative care option

The assisted suicide lobby has instituted a new direction by redefining assisted suicide as palliative care. This has long been a talking point for assisted suicide advocates but now they are attempting to change the legal definition of palliative care.

Assisted suicide laws give physicians, or others (New Mexico bill) the right in law to assist the suicide of their patients.

Oregon Attempts to Expand Assisted-Suicide License

Oregon Attempts to Expand Assisted-Suicide License

Oregon’s assisted-suicide legalization was the tip of the spear. Its provisions were never intended to remain restricted in perpetuity, but rather, were designed to give people false assurance that the ambitions of the euthanasia movement are limited.

They aren’t. And now true to form, a bill has been filed in Oregon to greatly expand eligibility and add other liberalizing provisions. First, HB 2232 would broaden the definition of terminal illness to the point that the term is stripped of any logical or cogent meaning:

“Terminal disease” means a disease that will, within reasonable medical judgment, produce or substantially contribute to a patient’s death.

Oregon will debate bills to expand the definition of terminal and allow physicians to wave the waiting period.

Oregon will debate bills to expand the definition of terminal and allow physicians to wave the waiting period.

Recently the Oregon assisted suicide lobby stated that they intend to expand the definitions in the assisted suicide law. The 2017 Oregon assisted suicide report stated that number of assisted suicide deaths had, once again, increased.

These are the highly-paid hucksters that poison people to death while pretending to sell them "treatment" for a disease they very often don't even have in the first place.

In her new book, a physician says patients need to take power or risk serious harm

There is no doubt that doctors make mistakes, just like people in every other profession. Who hasn’t heard of a surgeon who removed the wrong organ or a gynecologist who missed the symptoms of ovarian cancer? Of course, when doctors fall short, the consequences can be deadly. They rightly should face more scrutiny.

Distraught husband says wife of 30 years was given a lethal dose of Fentanyl. He wants to know why.

"It can't be. Why would he do that?"
David Austin was shocked when he found out that his wife was one of 27 people who may have been given excessive -- possibly lethal -- doses of Fentanyl.
The widower, who is suing an Ohio doctor that ordered the dose he believes killed his wife, was still distraught when he spoke to CNN affiliate WBNS.
"27 people ..." he said in disbelief.
David's wife, Bonnie Austin, was brought in to Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus on September 30, 2018 with chest pains and difficulty breathing, according to a lawsuit David filed against the hospital, doctor, nurse, and pharmacist involved with her care.

William S. Husel: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

William S. Husel: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

In what can only be described as an admission, Mount Carmel West Hospital in Ohio told the estate of a patient who died in their care that she was purposely given a fatal dose of fentanyl in 2017 and died moments after it was administered.
Hospital officials added that the case was not isolated; some 26 other patients were similarly prescribed excessive or lethal doses of the powerful opioid, according to court documents.
Intensive care doctor William S. Husel, registered nurse Tyler Rudman and pharmacist Talon Schroyer are all named in a civil lawsuit filed against the hospital. But it turns out that around 20 hospital employees in total have either been fired or placed on leave as a result of the investigation, hospital officials confirm.
As of Wednesday morning, there are now two lawsuits filed against the hospital and Husel in connection with the deaths of patients given fatal fentanyl doses.
Read on for civil suit:

Hospital: Doc gave near-death patients excessive pain meds(Sounds like St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH)

Hospital: Doc gave near-death patients excessive pain meds(Sounds like St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH)

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — An intensive care doctor ordered “significantly excessive and potentially fatal” doses of pain medicine for at least 27 near-death patients in the past few years after families asked that lifesaving measures be stopped, an Ohio hospital system announced after being sued by a family alleging an improper dose of fentanyl actively hastened the death of one of those patients.
The Columbus-area Mount Carmel Health System acknowledged the doses were larger than needed to provide comfort for dying patients. That raises questions about whether there was an intentional or possibly illegal use of the drugs to accelerate deaths.
The system said it has fired the doctor, reported findings of an internal investigation to authorities and removed 20 employees from patient care pending further investigation, including nurses who administered the medication as well as pharmacists.

Today Would be my Husband's 68th Birthday had he NOT been Medically Murdered at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH by NON-consensual Hospice/Palliative care

                        HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG KNIGHT

Yes, today my husband would have been 68 year's old had he never stepped foot in St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH. The Hospital we trusted to care for our family. No more! They will never be trusted again.
It didn't matter to them that he refused Hospice Care. There was no family counseling, he wasn't given six month's to live, he was given a year or more and there were NO Consent forms signed. Not for Hospice care or the  Illegal DNR which we never consented to and Medicare paid for. The reason being: He wasn't enrolled in Hospice. That's right. Legally he wasn't. Illegally he was. All documented in his Medical file, but no-one will hold them accountable. You couldn't even prove Lung Cancer, so you let him die of UN-TREATED SEPSIS!
So another birthday without My Knight, thank's to St. Joseph's Hospital.  I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to go to your Hospital I thought the other Hospital in Nashua was bad stealing babies, but you take the cake, Murdering patient's. You've ruined my life and my family's lives. The anger I feel get's worse every day. Some day you will get your's. I hope the Murderer's responsible for my husband's death, employed by you, burn in Hell along with the Hospice bitch that ILLEGALLY came to our home. The bitch that pushed him into a heart attack. I will NEVER stop exposing you for the Murderers that you are and I have made it my lifelong mission, for however long that is, to put an end to ILLEGAL Stealth Euthanasia being practiced under the guise of Hospice/Palliative care.
Happy Birthday to My Knight in Heaven. Life Really suck's without you. I will fight for you until my last breath. You will NOT be forgotten. Not Ever!

FACTS ABOUT LEGALIZING ASSISTED SUICIDE AND EUTHANASIA WRONGFUL DEATHS
A careful examination of the evidence from those jurisdictions that have laws permitting either assisted suicide or euthanasia shows that at least ten categories of people would be at risk of wrongful deaths.
Some proponents of legalizing assisted suicide or euthanasia admit that it is the case that wrongful deaths will occur.

Vitamin D Can Save Lives of COPD Patients

Vitamin D Can Save Lives of COPD Patients
My comment: So ignore the quack Doctor that tell's you to stop taking them along with other vitamins. The Doctor that tells you they may have aspirin in them and your blood will be too thin if you need surgery. BUT, you're admitted into the Hospital and you're given a shot in your stomach every day so your blood won't clot. What sense does that make??? Duh! BEEN THERE!

Deadly lung attacks may be averted in some COPD patients with a daily dose of vitamin D, new research suggests.
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD, includes a number of lung conditions, including emphysema and chronic bronchitis. Nearly all COPD deaths are due to a sudden worsening of symptoms (lung attacks), often triggered by viral upper respiratory infections, the researchers explained.

‘Unanimously, a declaration was adopted which simply says that euthanasia is unethical.’
Thus read a brief initial note in the World Medical Journal of 1987 with reference to the key passage of a new WMA Declaration on Euthanasia adopted in the Madrid General Assembly of that year [1]. Concise as this message was, it announced the affirmation of a powerful, enduring medical dictum, and we believe it to be essential for us, today, to understand the context in which it came about.

george soros and the cult of death

george soros and the cult of death
In 1994 Soros—a self-professed atheist—launched his Project Death in America (PDIA) and provided $15 million in its initial funding. His mother, a member of the pro-suicide Hemlock Society, killed herself, and that Soros mentioned unsympathetically his dying father’s clinging on to life for too long. PDIA supports physician-assisted suicide and works “to begin forming a network of doctors that will eventually reach into one-fourth of America’s hospitals” and, in a chilling turn of phrase, lead to “the creation of innovative models of care and the development of new curricula on dying.”

Multiple Sclerosis Palliative Care Soars in US Hospitals-Because Palliative care is cheaper than treatment! No wonder there's so much Medicare Fraud!

Multiple Sclerosis Palliative Care Soars in US Hospitals

Because Palliative care is cheaper than treatment! No wonder there's so much Medicare Fraud!

Palliative care among patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) increased significantly, to 6.1% during a decade of time ending in 2014, according to new US hospital-based research.

In new analysis, investigators have found the proportion of patients with MS receiving palliative care and to have died in the hospital research that considered more than 225,000 people in US hospitals shows.

The rate of palliative care in MS patients to have died in the hospital increased from 7.7% to 58.8% over 10 years, a team led by Jay J. Shen, PhD, at the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Community Health Sciences, found. At the same time, costs associated with hospitalization were less for MS patients receiving palliative care than for those not getting such care.

This was true even though patients in palliative care spent slightly more time in the hospital, and were more likely to die there.

Sepsis, Holiday Staffing Linked To Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against VA

The family of one veteran has filed a lawsuit against the Department of Veterans Affairs for failing to timely diagnose and treat sepsis resulting in death.
Richard Williams checked himself into a VA hospital in Columbia, Missouri, on December 27, 2016. His symptoms were shortness of breath. Williams died two days later.
While Williams was in a state of respiratory distress, the clinicians responsible for his care ordered a necessary test as routine rather than urgent. A six-hour delay resulted that ended with Williams’ death.
Williams ultimately died from anoxia secondary to laryngeal edema and sepsis complicated by drug intoxication from Haldol and lorazepam. Erica Smith, Williams’ daughter, filed the lawsuit on December 27 on behalf of her father’s estate.

Police want DNA from every man who worked at the facility

| CNN, Jan 10, 2019 – Police investigators have begun to gather DNA from men who work at an Arizona care facility where a woman in a vegetative state gave birth last month.
Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said Wednesday the woman and child, who was in medical distress after being delivered December 29, remain in the hospital.
Detectives have asked men at the Hacienda HealthCare facility in Phoenix to give buccal swabs, Thompson said. Investigators got court orders for those who didn’t voluntarily give samples. There is no suspect, Thompson said.

Medical Murder is Legal in the U.S.- No Repercussions for Medical Criminals (edited)

My husband of almost 43 year's, pictured on the far right, was just one of the many Medically Murdered. His Murder took place April 26th, 2017 at the Hospital we once trusted. Four of our five children were born there. We trusted them with our lives, but will never trust that Hospital of Death again.
The NH Medical Board refuses to listen to reason. Document's proving Medical negligence swept under the rug, claiming the Doctor's did nothing wrong. Well they sure as hell didn't do anything right!
The NH Board of Nursing is no better. Proof and witness testimony means nothing. Nurse Practitioners let off the hook to keep on murdering and lying in Hospital records. The NH Board of Nursing let BOTH of them off the hook, but the company one of them worked worked for fired her after taunting my husband so badly he had a heart attack. Even THEY knew this was nowhere NEAR the proper Standard of care! Federal Law's broken, but nobody cares. I keep being told this is the Standard of care. What care? My husband wasn't given any.
Forced UNKNOWINGLY into NON-CONSENSUAL Hospice/Palliative care is illegal, but the Medical Board, the Nursing Board, CMS, Medicare, the Attorney General and everywhere else I filed complaints see no wrongdoing.
CMS states my husband was NOT enrolled in Hospice and the Hospital didn't bill for Hospice. Legally, he wasn't enrolled in Hospice. Illegally, he was unknowingly forced into Hospice. This is MEDICARE FRAUD! Of course they didn't bill as Hospice because they would have gotten less money. They also would have been in trouble for the consent forms that didn't exist.
Medicare paid for a Hospice/Palliative care Doctor and a Hospice/Palliative care Nurse Practitioner. The Dr. who we were never told WHO he was, overdosed him with Morphine. 225 mgs. daily to be exact. I bitched and so did one good Doctor. Then Dr. was finally off his case. The Nurse Practitioner ultimately killed him and then denied she was responsible for him not receiving any treatment. We were never told who these Murderers were and never consented to them even seeing my husband.
CMS saw all the paperwork. The paperwork where my husband refused Hospice. The paperwork that shows he had an infection. An infection that was never treated. A UTI that was never treated. And SEPSIS that was never treated, which he ultimately died of. We were never told.
We were lied to from day one. My husband MURDERED for Squamous cell skin Cancer. Who dies from skin cancer? Anyone the Hospital want's to kill off. I will never understand why they wanted my husband dead. He was a good man. He wasn't useless and he definitely wasn't expendable. More so, I will never understand why no-one is stopping them from committing Murder.
So YES. Medical Murder is legal these day's. At least in Nashua, NH it is. And Death Panels definitely DO Exist!

The assisted suicide lobby wants to eliminate "safeguards."

The assisted suicide lobby wants to eliminate "safeguards."

They want to ELIMINATE safeguards, but the safeguard's aren't even being abided  by as it is. Maybe Someone should try enforcing them to begin with!

New Mexico's assisted suicide Bill HB 90, is the most extreme assisted suicide bill that I have ever seen

After reading HB 90 I asked the question: Is the assisted suicide lobby behind HB 90 or is the author of the bill, Deborah Armstrong (Dem) more radical than the rest of the suicide lobby?

I didn't have to wait long for the answer.

In her article: End-of-Life option laws should avoid needless red tape, Kim Callinan, the CEO of Compassion & Choices, (formerly known as the Hemlock society) argues that assisted suicide laws require fewer regulations. Callinan writes:
If lawmakers want to improve medical aid in dying laws, then let’s address the real problem: There are too many regulatory roadblocks already! I am not suggesting changing the eligibility requirements, as our opposition will suggest. I am merely suggesting that we drop some of the regulations that put unnecessary roadblocks in place.

Killing the Pain Not the Patient: Palliative Care vs Assisted Suicide

Killing the Pain Not the Patient: Palliative Care vs Assisted Suicide

Some time ago an ad appeared in a medical journal promoting a new pain-killing drug. To emphasize that this new product could relieve pain without sleepiness or other side-effects, the ad began with a slogan: "Stop the pain. Not the patient."
The outcome of our society's debate on physician-assisted suicide may depend on how well we communicate—and act upon—a similar message. We are living at a time when some doctors and lawmakers think that the best solution for some patients' suffering is to give them lethal drugs for suicide. Catholics committed to the dignity of each human person must insist: "Kill the pain. Not the patient."
