This life-threatening condition affects more than 1.5 million people in the U.S each year, where approximately 250,000 of those patients die from it, states the CDC. In most cases, there are four types of infections that can cause sepsis: gut, skin, kidney, and lungs.

NORFOLK, VA (WWBT) -

A doctor at Eastern Virginia Medical School says he may have stumbled upon a cure for sepsis - a common infection that kills more than 250,000 people in the U.S. annually and millions around the world.
The possible cure was discovered by Dr. Paul Marik "by accident as [he] was treating a patient who was dying of sepsis," according to EVMS Magazine.
The breakthrough? Marik combined Vitamin C with Hydrocortisone administered intravenously.

History -Let’s look to the first organized euthanasia movement in America which emerged in the 1930s and was known as the Euthanasia Society of America.  Its strategy was first to secure legalization of passive euthanasia as a way to prepare public opinion to accept active euthanasia, commonly known as physician assisted suicide.   But there were conflicts within the movement and by 1980 there came to be two distinct wings when the more militant branch split off.   The militants call themselves the Hemlock Society, Death with Dignity and Compassion and Choices.   This wing advocates for physician assisted suicide.
